Stain and Liquid Cleaning (Handwoven / Tencel / Viscose / Wool)
In case of liquid spillage, time is critically important. Using a clean, damp cloth or paper towel, do not rub the stain; gently blot it. Perform the cleaning in the direction of the carpet’s fibers (the direction the threads run). Rubbing damages the fibers and causes the stain to penetrate deeper. Excessive wetting on delicate fibers like Tencel and viscose can cause color changes; if in doubt, stop the treatment.
Routine Care
For weekly care, use a vacuum with low suction power; high-powered upright vacuums can pull threads in handwoven carpets. To prevent the carpet from receiving sunlight on the same spot, turn it every 2–6 months. Direct sunlight can cause color differences, especially in viscose and Tencel carpets.
Professional Cleaning Recommendation
For deep cleaning of handwoven, Tencel, viscose, wool, and natural fiber carpets, prefer professional carpet care companies. Household chemicals can damage the texture and shine of the carpet. Professional cleaning extends the carpet’s life and preserves its original appearance.
Machine Washing
For models that can be machine washed, this information is also specified in the product title. If the product title does not include “washable,” do not wash it in a household washing machine.
