Marrakech Series Wool, Viscose, Polyester and Cotton Blend Handwoven Rug – Terracotta (Terra)

The Marrakech Series Handwoven Rug is a durable and practical rug series made from a blend of wool, viscose, polyester and cotton. Crafted using handloom workmanship, this rug offers a thin, lightweight and balanced surface with its pile-free flatweave knitted construction. The natural warmth of wool combines with the silky softness of viscose, the durability of polyester and the breathable structure of cotton to create a full melange texture. This variant offers a warm and vibrant earthy texture in predominantly terracotta melange tones.

What Is a Wool, Viscose, Polyester and Cotton Blend?

Wool, viscose, polyester and cotton are four different fibers that complement one another when used together. Wool is a natural animal fiber obtained from sheep; it adds warmth, flexibility and durability to the rug. Viscose is a naturally derived (regenerated) fiber made from wood cellulose; it provides silky softness and a subtle sheen. Polyester is a synthetic fiber with high colorfastness and durability; it reinforces the structure and helps maintain its shape. Cotton, meanwhile, is a soft and breathable natural plant fiber. When these four fibers come together, the rug offers the warmth of wool, the soft texture of viscose, the durability of polyester and the natural structure of cotton all in one. Handloom knitting craftsmanship gives this blend a distinctive and balanced character.

How Should a Wool and Viscose Blend Rug Be Cleaned?

Marrakech Series rugs should only be cleaned by professional rug-cleaning companies, as the viscose fiber they contain is sensitive to moisture. Washing at home, wet cleaning or cleaning with large amounts of water is not recommended. For daily care, using a low-suction vacuum cleaner will help preserve the rug’s texture, colors and shape for a long time.

Add a warm, earthy and modern touch to your living spaces with the Marrakech Series terracotta handwoven rug. Unconditional returns are available within 14 days of delivery. For more options, explore our wool rugs and handwoven rugs collections.

Protect Your Rug’s Elegance
A careful care routine should be adopted to preserve the original splendor and silky texture of Carpetdocia’s handwoven, natural-fiber creations—pieces that add value to your living space—for generations to come.

Immediate Action and Liquid Spills
When a liquid is spilled, timing is the most critical factor. Using a clean, slightly damp cloth, remove the liquid from the surface by gently blotting only—never rub. Always work in the direction of the rug’s pile (the natural direction in which the fibers lie). Rubbing can damage the structure of delicate fibers such as TENCEL™ and viscose. If in doubt, stop immediately.

Routine Care and Light Balance
For your weekly cleaning routine, always use vacuum cleaners with low suction power. High-powered upright vacuums and stiff brushes can damage the natural structure of handwoven yarns. To balance the natural fibers’ reaction to light and prevent uneven color changes (fading), we recommend changing the direction of your rug every 2 to 6 months.

Expert Care (Professional Cleaning)
Delicate materials such as handwoven fibers, TENCEL™, viscose, and New Zealand wool should not come into contact with household chemical cleaners. These products can irreversibly damage the rug’s silky sheen and structural integrity. For deep cleaning, seek assistance only from professional rug-care centers specializing in natural fibers.

Washing Instructions
The delicate pieces in the Carpetdocia collections are not suitable for machine washing due to their construction. (Only specific models clearly marked “Washable” in their names may be washed in household machines using a low-temperature, delicate cycle.)
