The New Zealand Series Handwoven Rug is made from 100% felted New Zealand wool, offering a premium experience with its natural luster and soft texture. With a 13 mm pile height and a density of 4750 gr/m², it creates a plush, warm, and comfortable floor. Designed for those who appreciate understated elegance, this series presents a refined look in spaces like living rooms, sitting rooms, and bedrooms. This variant, in a warm and striking caramel tone, adds natural warmth and energy to your space.
What Is New Zealand Wool?
New Zealand wool is one of the highest quality natural wool types worldwide. Sourced from sheep raised on New Zealand’s clean pastures and favorable climate, this wool is known for its long, fine, and shiny fibers. It is naturally soft, durable, moisture-regulating, and resistant to dirt. Wool fibers also act as natural temperature regulators; keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer. In the New Zealand Series, 100% New Zealand wool combined with handwoven craftsmanship creates a long-lasting surface that is both warm and visually radiant.
What Does Felted Wool Mean?
Felted (combed) wool is a type of wool obtained by carefully combing and straightening the fibers. This process removes short and scattered fibers, producing a smoother, shinier, and more durable yarn. As a result, the wool surface gains a silky sheen and a denser, fuller texture. The New Zealand Series’ firm structure with 13 mm pile height and 4750 gr/m² weight is achieved thanks to this felted wool.

How to Clean a New Zealand Wool Rug?
New Zealand Series 100% wool handwoven rugs should only be cleaned by professional rug cleaning companies. Since natural wool fibers can be affected by water and excessive moisture, home washing, machine washing, or wet cleaning is not recommended. For daily care, use a vacuum cleaner with low suction and gently blot any stains with a slightly damp cloth to maintain the rug’s softness, luster, and colors for a long time.

Protect Elegance
A delicate care routine should be adopted to preserve the original splendor and silky texture of handwoven and natural fiber Carpetdocia pieces that add value to your living space for generations.
Immediate Action and Liquid Contact
Timing is the most critical factor in case of possible liquid spills. Use a clean, slightly damp cloth to gently blot the liquid from the surface without rubbing. Always perform this action in the direction of the carpet’s nap (the natural direction of the fibers). Rubbing can damage the shape of delicate fibers like TENCEL™ and viscose. Stop the intervention immediately if you have any doubts.
Routine Care and Light Balance
Always prefer vacuum cleaners with low suction power in your weekly cleaning routine. High-powered upright vacuums and stiff brushes can damage the natural structure of handwoven yarns. To balance the reaction of natural fibers to light and prevent regional tone differences (fading), we recommend changing the orientation of your carpet every 2 to 6 months.
Expert Touch (Professional Cleaning)
Noble textures such as handwoven, TENCEL™, viscose, and New Zealand wool should not come into contact with household chemical cleaners. These products can irreversibly damage the silky shine and structural integrity of the carpet. For deep cleansing, support should be sought only from professional carpet care centers specialized in natural fibers.
Washing Instructions
Delicate pieces in the Carpetdocia collections are not suitable for machine washing due to their structure. (Only specific models clearly labeled "Washable" in their name can be washed in household machines on a low heat and delicate cycle.)
