Andrea Series 90% Viscose 10% Polyester Modern Machine-Made Rug – Gold
The Andrea Series Machine-Made Rug is a high-quality, tightly woven rug made from a blend of 90% viscose and 10% polyester. Featuring a plain color design, this rug provides a full, soft, and comfortable surface with its 7 mm pile height and weight of 3250 g/m². The silky softness and sheen of viscose combine with the durability of polyester to create an elegant and modern texture. This variant offers a warm and radiant look in a plain gold color tone.
What Are Viscose and Polyester?
Viscose and polyester are two fibers frequently used together in rug production. Viscose is a naturally sourced (regenerated) fiber derived from wood cellulose; it provides silky softness, sheen, and a soft hand feel. Polyester is a synthetic fiber known for its durability and high colorfastness; it helps the rug retain its shape and ensures long-lasting use. When these two fibers are combined, the rug offers the silky appearance of viscose together with the strength of polyester. The Andrea Series is a plain-colored modern machine-made rug produced from 90% viscose and 10% polyester using a high-quality, tightly woven technique.

How Should a Viscose Rug Be Cleaned?
Because the viscose fiber in Andrea Series rugs is sensitive to moisture, they should only be cleaned by professional rug-cleaning companies. Washing at home, wet cleaning, or cleaning with large amounts of water is not recommended. For daily care, using a low-suction vacuum cleaner or robot vacuum helps preserve the rug’s texture, colors, and shape for a long time.
Add an elegant and modern touch to your living spaces with the Andrea Series gold machine-made rug. Unconditional returns are available within 14 days of delivery. For more options, explore our tightly woven rugs and living room rugs collections.
Protect Your Rug’s Elegance
A careful care routine should be adopted to preserve the original splendor and silky texture of Carpetdocia’s handwoven, natural-fiber creations—pieces that add value to your living space—for generations to come.
Immediate Action and Liquid Spills
When a liquid is spilled, timing is the most critical factor. Using a clean, slightly damp cloth, remove the liquid from the surface by gently blotting only—never rub. Always work in the direction of the rug’s pile (the natural direction in which the fibers lie). Rubbing can damage the structure of delicate fibers such as TENCEL™ and viscose. If in doubt, stop immediately.
Routine Care and Light Balance
For your weekly cleaning routine, always use vacuum cleaners with low suction power. High-powered upright vacuums and stiff brushes can damage the natural structure of handwoven yarns. To balance the natural fibers’ reaction to light and prevent uneven color changes (fading), we recommend changing the direction of your rug every 2 to 6 months.
Expert Care (Professional Cleaning)
Delicate materials such as handwoven fibers, TENCEL™, viscose, and New Zealand wool should not come into contact with household chemical cleaners. These products can irreversibly damage the rug’s silky sheen and structural integrity. For deep cleaning, seek assistance only from professional rug-care centers specializing in natural fibers.
Washing Instructions
The delicate pieces in the Carpetdocia collections are not suitable for machine washing due to their construction. (Only specific models clearly marked “Washable” in their names may be washed in household machines using a low-temperature, delicate cycle.)
